Evolving Demands on Edge Controllers – Important Updates
The demands on edge controllers are changing rapidly. Tridium is planning a next-generation IP-based edge device with enhanced resources and greater processing power, with more details and product announcements in April 2026.
Niagara Edge 10 End-of-Life Notice
Tridium will be phasing out the Niagara Edge 10. If you have deployments that include this device, now is the time to start planning for its end-of-life.
The Niagara Edge 10 has been widely adopted for applications such as:

Zone temperature control

Operation of field equipment like fan coil units

Single-stage air handlers
-
Water-source heat pumps …and more.
After the EOL, Niagara Edge 10 will remain on Niagara 4, but it can still operate within a Niagara system that uses a Niagara 5 Supervisor. For details, please refer to the Niagara 5 FAQs.

Niagara 4.15 is the active Long-Term Supported (LTS) release and will be the last supported Niagara 4 version for Niagara Edge 10.
